Extended Information:
The AA Founders Purple Swirl on Gold Tri-Plate Anniversary Medallion features a swirled purple enamel paint creating a unique medallion unlike any of the existing medallions found on our site. This medallion features a clear epoxy coating that will serve to enhance the 3-D appearance of the medallion and to provide a protective barrier that is known to increase the longevity and durability of the recovery medallions.

The obverse (front) of this recovery medallion features the images of Bill Wilson and Dr. Bob (Robert Smith), AA's Three Legacies: " Unity," "Service," and "Recovery," the circle-triangle AA logo, and the period of time being recognized marked by a Roman numeral.

The reverse (back) of this medallion features the same swirled purple paint design found on the obverse of this medallion, but it also features a quote from Chapter 5 of the AA Big Book: "Rarely have we seen a person fail who has thoroughly followed our path."
